U-16 survived depth-charge attacks by the sloop HMS Puffin

On 24 October 1939, U-16 survived depth-charge attacks by the sloop HMS Puffin and the anti-submarine trawler HMS Caton Wyke with slight damage only to sink the following day with no survivors from, most likely, striking a British mine.
