We Don’t Have Any of That, Or That, Or Even That

By late fall of 1941, almost nothing was available for sale in German shops. By order of the Party, shops kept their display windows filled with goods but none of them were for sale.

With more and more articles completely disappearing from the market the businessman’s standing slogan became: Alles für die Wehrmacht – everything has gone to the army.
