I received this review from fellow author Vincent O’Hara:
The Frat House Fire Escape Plan is well-written, witty, and even a little wicked. It makes the reader ask, ‘did they really do that?’ so many times one can only conclude, ‘yeah, they probably did.’ Always hilarious and often poignant (and how rare is that combination?) this is a special book of a time and place that, alas, no longer exists but at least there are authors like Charles McCain who can remember it with style. Highly recommended.
Historian Vincent O’Hara has written eleven books of naval history including In Passage Perilous, On Seas Contested, To Crown the Waves, and Struggle for the Middle Sea. He experienced the 1970’s at the University of California in Berkeley.
