GI In Southern France Getting Directions From Beautiful French Woman

In this photograph, taken of  John “Jack” Baker can be seen getting directions from a French Woman. They are seated on the ruins of a building in Southern France after it was destroyed by German forces. This image was likely taken around or on August 16, 1944.  This photograph was definitely taken by Dale Rooks, as the back of the image was stamped with his name.  Posted on Shorpy by John Baker’s grandson.
