Pilot Injured But Not Killed

spitfire down

Hard to believe but the pilot of this RAF Spitfire was not killed when his plane crashed. According to the caption:

Supermarine Spitfire V AD591 (UZ-M) Sgt S. Czachla. Ran out of fuel returning from patrol over Dieppe (Jubilee) and crash-landed at residential area of Northolt. Pilot injured.
