Pic of the Day – Honoring Explosive Ordnance Disposal

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, FL (May 4, 2013) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. John Greenert, comforts a family member of a fallen explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician at the 44th Annual EOD Memorial Ceremony, May 4, 2013. The ceremony, which took place across from the Kauffman EOD Training Complex, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD), honored explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in performance of EOD missions. NAVSCOLEOD, located on Eglin Air Force Base, FL, provides high-risk, specialized, basic and advanced EOD training to over 2,100 US and partner nation military and selected US government personnel each year.
