Pic of the Day – Observing Flight Operations

Persian Gulf (Mar. 15, 2005) – The Australian Navy frigate HMAS Darwin (FFG 04), navigates aft of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) while making her way to Truman‘s port side while observing flight operations. Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) embarked aboard Truman are providing close air support and conducting intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance over Iraq.
