US Marines Not Always Heroes – Part 1

Part 1Part 2Part 3

Sgt. Jan Pietrzak USMC, 24, and his wife, Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak, 26. Allegedly robbed and murdered by four US Marines in a home invasion. Two of the Marines charged are said to have been under Sergeant’s Pierzak command.

As much as I, and most Americans, admire the US Marines, uncritical admiration of any group is a triumph of emotion over rational thinking. Certainly the US Marines have men who are no good, lying, manipulative SOB’s. Some are malicious and mean. Some are criminals — including everything from minor crimes to murder. There is a reason the US Navy has several maximum security prisons. (Marines are sent to US Naval Prisons once sentenced for major crimes.)
