We Oppose Anyone Involved in the Conspiracy Against Us — Even if We Don’t Know Who You Are Or What You Are Doing

Politicians say and do stupid things all the time. Often they know that what they are saying or doing is stupid but good politicians are actors and they say what we want to hear even though it’s not true. We believe their nonsense because we want to, even though we secretly know it’s a bunch of B.S.

So when a genuinely stupid politician appears and says and does something unusually stupid, which he or she clearly believes, then we are entitled to laugh them off the stage. Take Rep. Kerry Gibson of the Utah State Legislature. But first, take Utah, please, and give it to Canada. Old joke.

But back to Rep. Kerry Gibson, a true hayseed of hayseeds. In January of this year (2012), he authored a resolution passed by the Utah State House Natural Resources Committee, which demands a “full and independent investigation of the climate data conspiracy…”

This prompted Rep. Phil Riesen to rise. This distinguished man has an IQ over 90, making him the most intelligent person in the Utah legislature. Upon rising the brilliant Rep. Riesen asked: “A conspiracy? By whom? To what end?”

Responded the truly witless fool Rep. Kerry Gibson, “I’m not sure we’ll ever know the depths of it.”

But whoever they are, and whatever they are doing, we are opposed to them. In fact, any piece of legislation which favors these people, although we don’t know who they are, we will vote against.

I hope the good citizens of Utah don’t have to pay these people.
