ATLANTIC OCEAN – The watch on deck aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, a 295-foot barque homeported in New London, CT, prepare to climb into the ship’s rigging, April 6, 2012. The watch on deck consists of between six to eight trainees that are ready to climb into the rigging at a moment’s notice in order to adjust the sails whether it be routine or emergent.
