MEDITERRANEAN SEA (May 7, 2011) Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1644, assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2, makes its approach to the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during an amphibious training exercise. Bataan is the command ship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the US 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
