I Remember the Day John F. Kennedy Was Assassinated – Part 8

Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5Part 6Part 7Part 8Part 9

Curiously, I don’t remember anything else but that moment of listening to the teacher then running home to tell my mom. I do remember my mom crying as she watched the news about the assassination of President Kennedy. But I don’t remember any of the funeral that was shown on television. I do remember Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald but I don’t remember if I saw it live or if I have seen it replayed so many times it seems like I saw it live. Nonetheless, when Lee Harvey Oswald was killed by Jack Ruby, who was something of a loser, it wasn’t hard to belief something of a conspiracy was at work.

In a year, fifty years after the death of the President Kennedy, the papers from the Warren Commission, which was created to investigate the assassination of President Kennedy and presided over by the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court Earl Warren, will be released. It will interesting to discover if the government actually releases all of the papers and if so, is there anything in them we don’t know?
