MEDITERRANEAN SEA (May 7, 2011) Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (22nd MEU), embarked aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), operate a combat rubber raiding craft as part of routine amphibious proficiency training. Bataan is the command ship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the US 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
