Top Secret Bomb Sight Stolen

The Norden bomb sight used by American strategic bombers in World War Two was classified top-secret. It had taken many years and a staggering amount of money for the eccentric genius Carl Norden to invent and perfect the bomb sight which never fulfilled the extravagant claims made about it. Yet in 1941, American security officials learned that in 1938, Herman W. Lang, a German national working for Norden, had delivered a highly detailed set of drawings of the bomb sight to German intelligence officials.
