Pic of the Day – Painting the Anchor

LIMON, Costa Rica (Aug. 23, 2010) Boatswain’s Mate Jacklyn Cravey paints the anchor of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) while the ship is ported for operations in Costa Rica. Iwo Jima is in Costa Rica supporting Continuing Promise 2010, a humanitarian and civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation’s teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary, engineering assistance to several different nations to improve mutual understanding of current medical issues and technology.
