A Tragic Dilemma

Herr Generalfeldmarschall Erhard Milch of the Luftwaffe, who was at least half Jewish as his father was a full Jew as the Nazis defined it, was in charge of aircraft production in the Reich from early in the war. He displayed little competence in this job. Prior, he had been the part owner of a small airline and had worked for Hermann Göring as a senior official in the aviation ministry. Milch played a major role in establishing the Luftwaffe. After the war, he was imprisoned upon conviction of crimes against humanity based on his treatment of slave laborers.
