Pic of the Day

A Norwegian merchant ship crew (I think). This photo appears in the Life Magazine archive in the Battle of the North Atlantic section with no caption. I think this is a Norwegian merchant crew coming ashore. The Norwegians had one of the largest merchant fleets in the world and rather than let the Germans get hold of after the invasion of Norway, most shipowners chartered their ships to the British Ministry of War Transport.
