U-Boat Bases and Bunkers: Brest: After the war, the French Navy took over the U-Boat Bunker and began the process of removing the considerable amount of debris and unexploded ordinance that had been deposited in the pens as well as removing the ships that had been sunk by the Germans to block the entrances to the pens. It is still in use today by the French Navy.
