Gorch Fock, (22 August, 1880 – 31 May, 1916), is the pseudonym of the German Navy’s famous sailor-poet. He was killed at the Battle of Jutland when his ship sank and is buried on the Swedish island of Stensholmen, where his body washed ashore. His actual name was Johann Wilhelm Kinau.
