  1. LOL. Right on. The “food” at the concession stands sucked, too. And even the occasional good movie (I remember seeing “Sound of Music” as a child) sucked visually. The image was projected onto a large plywood “screen” painted white. There are two drive-ins in my part of the world still operating — why is beyond me. I’d bet Stephen King, with his unabashed love for terrible old B-Horror movies, might understand the odd nostalgia of this local quirk.
